Did you know wood displays different grain patterns depending on which way it is cut? For example, the 'medullary ray' which can appear on oak furniture is a mark of good quality timber - these are just characteristics of the natural beauty of the wood. Timber also mellows over time so some change in colour is expected but the following will help you keep me in tip-top condition for years to come:

• I am made with solid oak and veneers.
• I like a little dust over with a damp lint free cloth so treat me on a regular basis and wipe up any spills immediately. 
• I’m a natural product so I don’t mix well with nasty synthetic cleaners such as spray polishes or abrasive cleaners. 
• I can be sensitive to hot and cold items you might place on me so please use coasters and placemats with your cup of tea or frozen Margarita.
• Just like you I can get burnt by the sun so protect me from UV rays and heat sources, but also be aware that like any timber product a lack of humidity can cause splitting.  
• Like anything I’ll need a bit of re-tightening from time to time so please check my nuts & bolts at assembly points periodically.
