Heirloom faux fur throws and cushions should be cared for carefully to minimise matting of the pile. Cold hand wash or machine wash separately on gentle cycle, and line dry. Do not tumble dry, do not iron, and do not bleach. Do not use any heat process as this will singe pile and cause matting. As standard drycleaning processes use heat, and can cause matting of the pile, gentle handwashing is recommended. Hanging in breeze helps to restore the pile. Light combing using a pet comb or brush can be applied carefully. Keep dark or tinted colours away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or discolouration.
